Morning Glory & Bumble Bee is a regenerative farm just outside Lambertville, NJ, specializing in fruits and nuts. We, philosopher Margaret Cuonzo and musician Vita Wallace, founded the farm in 2016 after completing the GrowNYC Farm Roots Farm Beginnings course and a mentorship with Pennsylvania nut growers Tucker and Gladys Hill. Our mission is to use ethical and regenerative practices to create a beautiful place and beautiful food that inspires people to think in new ways. We purchased a former corn field and 27 acres of woods and began planting hazelnuts, sour cherries, berries, and herbs, staying every weekend in a small shed. We began selling preserves, herbal teas, and black walnuts on a small scale. In 2022 we bought an adjacent field, which our neighbors use for hay and pasture. In 2023, we were able to buy the farmhouse next door, which is now our home and a gathering place for music and “perennial studies.”
